Christmas holidays

Is this a bad idea??

Most mommies probably wouldn't let their new little baby cuddle up with the dog but I just think it's so dang cute.  We were a little nervous to have a dog and a new baby, worried that lucy would jump on her or nip at her but it has been the opposite.  Lucy loves Mckell- as you can see in the pictures.  She snuggles right up to her, even lets Mckell sit and kick her over and over and doesn't even move.  

Kendra, Ben, Sophie, and Graham are in town for the holidays!

Ben & Kendra are home for the holidays and I was up at my parent's last week spending some time with them.

Graham and Mckell playing so nicely together- Graham's just 6 weeks older than Mckell, they're going to be the best of friends!

Sophie absolutely loves "Tortwin" as she calls him and made him her best friend- which included doing whatever she wanted him to do.  First she had him make her a snowman.

Then she had him read her stories...

And my personal favorite- she made him be her pet dog and put a leash on him dragging him around on all fours.  Best part of her puppy playtime was when she had him bark on command!

Our little peanut is 3 months old already!  Can you believe it!  She is growing and getting so big way too fast!  I just can't get over her cute little bum!  (Please excuse her nudity! haha)

And of course she's still loving her tongue!

Mckell loves playing with her tongue and has been cooing for awhile now.  It's so funny having cooing and cahing conversations with her- so much baby talk at our house.

We tried putting Mckell in her johnny jumper but she's too small still I'm thinking even though she was loving it (thanks Rachael for getting it for her).

Passed out after being dragged around on black friday- my favorite day of the year!

Jamie had her baby!

Brayden Dennis Stokes was born November 25th!

He was 6lbs 14oz and 19 inches long.

He is a super cute baby with long thick hair- so stinking cute and I'm SO jealous!  Mckell is slowly getting more hair.. very slowly.   Mom and baby are doing great!

Brayden weighed only one ounce less than Mckell when she was born.  Now Brayden 6 days old and Mckell 10 weeks old- can you believe the difference?  I didn't realize how big Mckell had gotten.  Everyone kept telling me how different she looked every time they saw her but I thought she looked the exact same.  Now seeing Brayden right next her I was shocked!  My baby is getting big so fast!

These are Jamie's 3 1/2 year old twins- they love their new baby brother.

2 Month Stats!

Mckell turned 2 months old November 15th and we took her in for her check up a couple days later:

Weight 9 lbs 14 oz, 24%tile

Length 22 & 3/4 inches, 66%tile

Head Circumferece 15 inches, 31%tile

She had her 2 month immunizations done at the doctor appointment- she screamed bloody mary! She must be like me and hate shots. I felt so bad after because I forgot to go get some infant's tylenol and she started screaming in pain a couple hours later and I didn't have the car to go get the medicine. Then as I'm waiting for Courtland to hurry and leave school to go get some because I could not comfort her no matter what I tried (mind you she NEVER cries so I was feeling even worse) the hometeachers showed up and were trying to have a get-to-know you conversation. It was not a fun expeirence for all involved but Mckell did finally calm down after we gave her some medicine so word to the wise for those who will be having the same experience- give your baby tylenol BEFORE the pain kicks in!

The joys of being a parent!

The Astill's came down to provo and we all went to see 2012 at the movies. We had so much fun and the movie was really good- Thanks Astill's!

Mckell is starting to really interact, smile, and coo at us and it's just so dang cute!  I claim she has even giggled a couple times but no one has been there to witness- she must just like her mamma best!
