The cutest sound in the world...

We've been doing lots of silly things to get this little girl to give us a little giggle but we finally discovered what really gets her going- She loves Lucy!  It's the cutest thing and he goes for our first video post.

Mckell has discovered her toes and is lovin them!
Mckell has insisted since she was born to not be wrapped up tight but to be sprawled out in bed- she gets that from me!
Can't forget about Lucy..
At Mckell's 4 month check up the doctor said we should start giving Mckell rice cereal then veggies and fruits.  So although I didn't really want to, I tried giving her a little rice cereal.  Most of it ended up in the bib, which was to be expected.  But I decided I think I want to wait awhile longer to feed her anymore.  Anyone else have any thoughts on when they started feeding their baby other foods??
Courtland was late getting home from class one day and I had to get to school for an appointment so Mckell and I braved the cold and walked to school.  She loved every minute of it.
Mckell also has recently found her thumb and index finger... hopefully it doesn't stick!
We went to visit our friend's Dana and Justin who just had a baby- He weighed the same as Mckell when she was born.  I swear she was never that tiny!  What a stud!
Since I have gone back to school and Courtland has been spending his mornings watching Kell they definitely have a more special bond- so cute!  The best thing in the world is to see a daddy so attached to their baby!

Mckell's 4 month check-up stats!

We took Mckell in for her 4 month check-up, you never really understand when people say they grow SO fast!  She's still a little peanut but I can't believe I've been a mom for 4 months now.. and I'm loving it and ready for a sister or brother!!  Don't worry my husband is more reasonable and not insane and says we have to wait..
Anyway- these were her stats:
Weight: 11.7 lbs and 10th percentile
Length: 24.5 inches and 56th percentile
Head Circumference: 15.9 inches and 33rd percentile

My cute friend Kathleen made her the tutu, headband, and bow and gave her the leggins.  So fun- and she was lovin eating the tutu- Thanks Kathleen!

so little time and so many updates...

Mckell's hair is getting a little longer- but definitely not long enough to do anything with it yet.. don't worry I'm not a fan of mohawks on girls, I was just messing around.
She's been wearing her self out with various activities..

She's been rolling over for awhile now
She's started to laugh- cutest thing ever!
She's now wearing 3-6 month clothing and I'm loving all her new outfits.
BIGGEST CHANGE:  I went back to school this semester!  It is really hard for both Courtland and I to be in school- I don't know how people do it with kids but we're surviving so far!  I go to class from 8-11am and Courtland has classes 12:30-4pm.  Plus we both have a lot of group work projects we have to do outside of class.  We just take turns watching Mckell- sometimes having to take her to school with us (not class, just group work meetings)- we're not that much of BYU zoobies!  My mom comes down on Tuesdays to help out too- so we're managing.  After the first week I begged Courtland to let me quit- but he wouldn't and I'm sure I'll be glad when I'm FINALLY graduated.
And of course, Courtland's friends are still coming over all the time- Adam just moved about a block away- oh boy!
Mckell's almost sitting on her own

It's going to be a hard next couple of months- pray I get through it!  Thank goodness for Nick Jr on Demand- Mckell's loving watching tv... I feel bad but I have to get my homework done somehow!

Cancun the day after Christmas!

Courtland's summer sales job sends you on a free trip if you reach so many sales and he got the free trip.  The day after Christmas we went to Cancun for 4 days, 3 nights all inclusive for FREE!  We had so much fun but weren't able to take Mckell so it was pretty hard to leave her for the first time.  I had to save up milk pretty much ever since she was born to have enough for her while I was gone and I had to pump every 3-4 hours in Mexico which was pretty annoying.  But all in all we had a great time and when day 4 hit I was definitely ready to go home and see my baby!

Skiing at Snow Basin with the Rabe's

My whole family went skiing up at Snow Basin.  It was so much fun- we should make it a tradition every year!  My mom and grandma Critchlow were so sweet to stay in the lodge all day with the babies so we were able to enjoy skiing.  Thanks mom and dad for taking us all!

Merry Christmas!

Mckell in her Christmas outfit- so cute!

Christmas Eve traditions at the Rabe's!

Every year we open pajamas on Christmas Eve with my family- this year was so much fun because EVERYONE was able to come and was in town!  I have the best family- and we are growing in numbers!  In less than two years we've added two spouses and three grandkids!
Just the girls

All the grandkids!  Sophia & Graham, Mckell, Nolan & Luke
We also draw names every year so we exchanged those presents and opened our presents from my parents- they always spoil us rotten!  Thanks Mom and Dad!  We love and appreciate you!
