A moment to brag...

I just have to take a minute and brag a little about my super smarty pants husband! He found out today that he got accepted into BYU's Master of Accountantcy program (the audit side). He was already in the bachelors program and now just has to add one more year for his master's. I'm so proud of him for managing to get good grades with a whinny first trimester prego wife last semester who required lots of his attention.

She has officially made her debute!

Courtland got me diamond earings for our one year anniversary! Yes ladies that's right- they're real, don't be jealous. Isn't he so sweet- who wouldn't want diamonds right!

Yes it is true- my baby girl is growing so fast and my belly is officially out there! So for all you that were saying you couldn't see anything- here's my proof!

My mother's day present to myself as my one and only mother's day to be! This was my very first baby purchase thus far (my mom bought the crib). Aren't they so cute!

We had so much fun on both of our first cruise ever. We were supposed to stop at Cozemel too but because of swine flu- they didn't stop so there was just an extra day at sea. The food was so yummy too- I swear I gained a million pounds! And if you didn't think I had a belly before, after the cruise it definitely popped out- pictures to come!

Sorry for the delay in posting what we are having... I got so busy with packing, moving, and vacationing I just realized I never made the blog announcement!

Just as I expected the news would be... the doctor told us we are having a GIRL! To be honest, I was surprised at first because secretly I thought it'd be a boy, but after the news sank in, I am definitely super excited! (as long as she is nothing like I was when I was little! haha) The first thing I said as I turned to look at Courtland was, "Well honey, looks like you're going to have to make a LOT more money this summer!"

Happy one year anniversary!!!

WE MADE IT!!! Everyone always says that once you've made it past the one year mark, you're good to go! It's been an amazing first year- lots and lots of changes and unexpected surprises but we've loved every minute of it!

My mom saved us the top of our cake to eat for our one year anniversary- it traveled in the car with us from Utah to Texas and this is how it came out! But it still tasted delicious even though it doesn't look so yummy!

After 21 hours of driving, we finally made it to Texas in one piece! I thought Courtland was going to kill me when he saw all the stuff I had for him to squeeze into our car, but amazingly he made it all fit (although the rims of the tires were practically touching the road). When we got to San Antonio and the place we're living at- I'm sure everyone was making fun of me from the millions of loads to carry up three flights of stairs- they'll be jealous when they realise I came prepared! haha not likely...

But the weather is great.. sort of. It's hot and SUPER humid just like everyone warned me, but I will survive! Swimming pool, here I come!

18 weeks prego!

Well here's the 18 week profile picture... I feel like I'm getting bigger but the picture is deceving!

Me, excited because I'm finally starting to feel better and don't have to eat the second I wake up or I'll throw up anymore!

And since I'm updating "growths" here's what Lucy is looking like these days! She's getting bigger but still only weighs 4 lbs and probably won't get much bigger.

Other Updates:

We move to San Antonio, Texas this coming Thursday and are excited for our adventures there. Hopefully the heat and humidity won't be unbarable being pregnant and all!

We find out what we are having this Tuesday- so stay tuned!!! And I finally made my first baby purchase... well my very generous parents did... we got our crib and dresser! They are super cute and I'm excited to find out if our baby is a boy or girl so I can pick out some bedding!

We decided on our vacation!!! We are going on a cruise a week from Sunday! We leave from Galveston, it's 7 nights, and goes to Jamaca, Cayman Islands, and Cozemel! I can't wait! And we're going over our one year aniversary so what better way to celebrate!!!

Fun Vegas Getaway!

We decided last minute to take a girls (and my dad) Vegas getaway! We started off in Provo getting pedicures and then made the drive.

We were so spoiled to be able to stay at the Wynn hotel.

Taryn wanted new make up for the wedding coming up so we all got our make up done at Mac in Caesar's Palace!We had a great time thanks to my mom and dad, but it would have been a lot better if Jill could have came! We sure missed her and wished she was in town to come too!

Easter Egg Hunt at the Rabe's!

My cute mom and dad had an Easter egg hunt for us. Sophie got to go out first and had special eggs that were just for her. The rest of us had other eggs that had candy and gift certificates! So much fun but we missed Jake, Jill, Nolan, Luke, and Ben! Hopefully one year we'll finally be back all together.. not likely though.
